Use the AI Template Generator

DriveMetaData (DMD) features an AI Content Suite generator integrated directly into the template creation workflows for SMS, Push Notifications, and WhatsApp (Standard and Carousel formats).

Use the AI Generator when you need copy inspiration, localized tone adjustments, character-count optimized headlines, or multi-card WhatsApp carousel messaging built automatically from a product prompt.

How to Access the AI Generator​

Look for the Generate with AI button (marked with a sparkle icon ✨) in the template creation header or modal toolbar:

  • SMS Modal: Click Generate Copy with AI.
  • Push Notification Page: Click AI Assistant at the top right of /templates/push-notification/create.
  • WhatsApp Page: Click AI Generator on /templates/whatsapp/create.

Step-by-Step AI Generation Workflow​

1. Define Campaign Context​

Enter a short description of what you are trying to promote or communicate:

  • Example: "Summer sale for athletic footwear. 25% off all running shoes this weekend only."

2. Configure Generation Settings​

  • Tone of Voice: Choose from Urgent, Friendly, Professional, Playful, or Persuasive.
  • Target Audience: Specify target persona (e.g., "VIP loyalty members", "Cart abandoners").
  • Include Emojis: Toggle emoji inclusion on or off.
  • Include Personalization Variables: Check to automatically place {{first_name}} or {{discount_code}} tags.

3. Generate Variations​

Click Generate Content. The AI engine returns 3 distinct content variations.

4. Review and Select​

Review the generated variations:

  • Inspect character count indicators (e.g., SMS length counter, Push title length).
  • Click Use This Variation to populate the template editor form.

Generating WhatsApp Carousel Content​

For WhatsApp Carousel templates, the AI generator builds cohesive messaging across multiple cards automatically:

  1. Open /templates/whatsapp/create?type=carousel and launch AI Generator.
  2. Specify the desired number of cards (e.g., 3 cards or 5 cards).
  3. Describe the overall product collection (e.g., "Top 3 bestseller smartwatches").
  4. Click Generate Carousel.
  5. The AI returns structured card titles, body text, and suggested action button labels for every card.
  6. Click Apply to Template to populate all cards simultaneously.

Best Practices for AI Copy Generation​

  • Be specific in your prompt: Mention exact discount percentages, expiration dates, or key features.
  • Check variable tags: Confirm generated variable placeholders match your workspace attribute names.
  • Verify Meta WhatsApp compliance: For WhatsApp templates, ensure AI generated copy does not contain prohibited content before submitting to Meta review.
